Plant control
PLC programming for retrofit and modernization projects, with Siemens and Rockwell experience. We assess what can safely remain before specifying what needs to change.
PLC, HMI, SCADA, database, and cloud services for hot mix asphalt plants. We help operators and plant owners scope, build, and refine plant control systems.
Scoped to the project. We're happy to say no if it isn't the right fit.

HMI screens aligned with ISA-101 guidelines. Mix and recipe screens, totals, calibration, alarm banner. Designed with operators in mind.
SQL Server historian and reporting. Optional cloud-based dashboard integration for KPIs like tons, fuel, and downtime, scoped to what's useful for your operation.
Our principal's background includes time at Astec Industries and, since then, control system integration in the hot mix asphalt space for decades. Working in one industry means we can spend more time on the details that matter.
Interface screens shown here are conceptual mockups for illustrative purposes only. They are not screenshots from a live customer system or deployed plant HMI.
Alongside our delivery work, GA Engineering Inc. is a Canadian SME engaged in applied R&D. We're exploring how modern data tooling and machine-learning techniques can help hot mix asphalt plants run more efficiently — without taking the operator out of the loop.
Canadian SME · Applied R&D
We are actively exploring collaborative partnerships and strategic funding mechanisms to support applied industrial research within Canada, leveraging both federal and provincial innovation frameworks.
If you are a producer, OEM, researcher, or program officer focused on advancing industrial AI/ML applications within heavy industry, we would welcome the opportunity to connect and discuss potential synergies.
An illustrative outline — every project is unique
Our process begins with an in-depth consultation to understand your plant's operational challenges. When beneficial, we conduct an on-site technical assessment to map existing I/O, identify what can be responsibly reused, and document system requirements. We always deliver a detailed, written scope of work before any programming begins. To minimize operational disruptions, we strategically schedule deployments around your off-season windows, ensuring final cutovers land safely outside the busy paving schedule.
What we won't do is over-promise. If a project isn't a fit — for scope, schedule, or specialty — we'll say so and, where we can, point you to someone who's a better match.

Long-lived plant systems deserve long-lived support arrangements — and a backstop for when the unexpected happens.
Independent third-party escrow available on qualifying engagements. The deposit is verified by the agent, not just archived.
How it worksEvery project ends with the tag maps, drawings, and runbooks a competent controls team would need to keep the system running.
Support arrangements are scoped up front, not bolted on. We're honest about what a small team can and can't cover.
Tell us a bit about your plant. We try to reply within a few business days, and we're happy to say if it's not the right fit.
